Saarinen Tulip coffee table.
The Tulip coffee and side tables were conceived by Finnish designer Eero Saarinen, who set out to distill modern dining designs into sculptural, holistic structures. The result was his pedestal collection (1956), named for the designs’ exquisite cast aluminum bases. Winner of the 1969 Museum of Modern Art Award, the Tulip is Saarinen's genius solution to clearing up what he saw as the ''''slum of legs'''' that populates the under-carriage of most dining sets. Our very high quality version of this classic round coffee table is made in Italy and has a laquered cast aluminium base, & is available in either black or white with either a black Marquina marble top, or a white Carrera marble top.
